Stan Lee's Usagi - usagiguy
Stan Lee's Usagi

Usagi is one of the themes for the San Diego Con's souvenir book, and my pals from CAPS (Comic Arts Professional Society) did a jam drawing. Here's Stan Lee's version of Usagi. Stan once gave me a Spider-man sketch, but this Usagi is just too cool.

Other contributors include Sergio Aragones, Dan Spiegle, Dean Yeagle, Kazu Kibiushi, Bill Morrison, Mell Lazarus (Mama as Usagi), and Scott Shaw! Needless to say, I am very flattered and very touched by this.

It must be a thrill to see your character interpreted by so many greats!

Yes. I have a nice collection of Usagi art drawn by other creators, European as well as American artists--Azpiri, Michetz, Frank Miller, Sergio, Guy Davis, Jeff Smith, Travis Charest, Geoff Darrow, and others. I was posting these for awhile. Here are a couple of my favorites:

-->> .. knew Lee did a bit of art way back when, like when he was in the military and suck.

He's poking fun at himself ..but in honesty ..

this is really sweet and cleaver.

He's pretty good !! !!

You're talking about the complete Fantagraphics edition, right? I think it was solicited for August or September, meaning it will probably be out in October.

If you're talking about the Book 23 signed & numbered hardcover edition, I will have a few advance copies.
